During Camp
The first few days are an adjustment period to find the schedule and routine that works best for everyone — it calms down after that :)
Hours
- From breakfast until dinner time
- One break during the day, as arranged
- Different families & children have different schedules — it’s not one-size-fits-all
Meals
- Ensure the child eats breakfast, lunch & dinner according to the mother’s guidelines of what the child can eat
- If the child is nursing, bring the child to the mother to nurse
Schedule
- Children swim every day — kiddie pool or big pool. Kiddie camp counselors are required to go into the big pool with them
- For children aged 1+, follow the schedule to the best of the child’s ability
Shabbos
- Decreased hours, as arranged
Staff Life
- Participate in staff activities and trips
- Babysitting on rotation
Responsibility
- Communicate with the mother to ensure the child is happy, the schedule runs smoothly, and everyone’s needs are met
- Limited babysitting hours at night
- Refrain from disrupting the other divisions of camp
- Follow the staff phone policy
